Minesweeper Mini is a pocket logic-based puzzle game which evolved from similar games developed in the 1980’s such as Relentless Logic and Mines. Typically, the player is presented with a grid consisting of a variable number of squares. Due to the screen-size limitation of the iPhone, the board size is fixed at 7x7 (or 49 squares)
The mines are randomly placed in the grid by the computer – the player has no idea which squares are safe. However, tapping on a square reveals a number, indicating how many adjacent squares (including diagonally) contain a mine. For example, a square with ‘3’ on it has 3 mines, and therefore 5 safe squares, around it. Switching on the flag mode, the player can mark every square, which is thought to contain a mine, with a reg flag. Tapping a mine shall result in game-over.
If a large number of adjacent squares contain no mines and the player taps on of these squares, the whole group is counted as being tapped, saving time and tedious tapping.
There are 25 levels, going from very easy to extremely hard. Each level passed is saved so player doesnt have to start over.
